About Us

Bellavita Lifestyle Company was created to share the "la bella figure" style of Italian fashion with young men establishing themselves in the world.

Bellavita — Italian for "beautiful life" — started with a simple observation: the brands selling beautiful Italian silk ties are all talking to your father. Or your grandfather.

Walk through their catalogs and you'll find gorgeous, genuinely well-made neckwear — and websites that look like they're styled for a corner office, not a Friday happy hour. We didn't see anyone bringing the color, confidence, and easy style of Italian fashion to guys actually building their careers and their lives right now. So we decided to.

I grew up in a second-generation Italian-American family in New York — Sunday dinners with the whole family around the table, my grandmother's Sicilian cooking, my grandfather playing guitar after espresso and pastries. Italy wasn't an idea to me; it was family.

Then, the summer I turned 16, my grandfather took me there for the first time. We met cousins in Rome and Sicily, saw the splendor of the Eternal City, spent weeks on the Mediterranean coast — and somewhere in all of it, I fell in love with the way Italians simply carried themselves.

Tanned, easy, darting around on Vespas, sunglasses pushed up on their heads, mixing colors with a confidence that had nothing to do with rules. Green socks with cream linen trousers? Why not. That instinct — bella figura, putting your best self forward, but never looking like you tried too hard — stuck with me.

A semester studying in Rome during college, and several more family trips back over the years, only deepened it. The cobblestones and cathedrals were timeless, even as cell phones eventually found their way into the piazza.

Back home, that style stayed with me — mostly showing up in the one place I could still wear it: my ties. Even as offices went business casual and the opportunities to wear one got rarer, my tie rack kept growing.

Eventually I stopped waiting for someone else to build the brand I wanted to buy from, and built it instead. Bellavita's ties are designed and made in the Lake Como region of Italy — the world's center of fine silk weaving for generations — in patterns and colors with real personality, not boardroom caution. The goal is simple: the quality and craft Italy is famous for, in a brand that actually looks and sounds like it's for you — not your dad (as much as you love him)

That's bella vita.

Welcome!
